The Caseificio San Vito Povolaro, stands out for its production of Asiago Pressato DOP premium quality cheese. During the last years many efforts have been made to improve the quality, resulting in 2004 in the certification of its production process with the standards ISO 9001-2008 by the CSQA in Thiene. Nonetheless the artisanal production process hasn’t changed. The Caseificio has been awarded in 2005 for the “economic progress” thanks to its outstanding results. Since 30/09/2011 the Caseificio is part of the Registry of Historical Firms of the Vicenza Chamber of Commerce.
